Albendazole is a broad spectrum anthelminthic substance which protect from the nematodes, tremadotes and cestodes infections. It acts against adults and larva forms.
It is effective against local lung parasitosis which are common diseases and also against ostertagiosis which plays special role to the pathogenesis of intestinal parasitosis of calves.

Indications

For the prevention and treatment of both gastrointestinal and pulmonary strongyloidosis, taeniasis and hepatic distomiasis at sheep, and cattle.

Contra-indications

Use during pregnancy is not permitted

Undesirable Effects

Have not been observed when is followed the recommended usage.

Interaction With Other Medicaments

Have not been observed.

Overdose

The recommended dosage shouldn’t be increased if and the increasing of 3.5 – 5 times of the recommended didn’t cause increase of the undesirable effects.

Dosage

Sheep: 5 mg per kg of body weight. In case of hepatic distomiasis 15 mg per kg of body weight.
Cattle: 7,5 mg per kg of body weight .In case of hepatic distomiasis 10 mg per kg of body weight.

Withdrawal Times

MeatCattle: 14 days of the last administration

Sheep:  10 days of the last administration

Milk: 5 days of the last administration

It is preferred the antiparasitics to be administered during the dry period.

Storage

Keep in a dry place and temperature <25 οc, protected from the light.
