Sulfadimidine Sodium Oral Solution 16%
Indications
LH-SULFA is 16% w/v solution of water soluble Sodium Sulfadimidine. It produces long lasting high blood levels of Sulfadimidine which makes it extremely effective in treating diseases.
Coccidiosis:
Helps in the control of outbreaks in chicken and turkeys.
Fowl Cholera, Coryza:
Reduces the severity of the disease and death losses in chicken and turkeys.
Fowl Typhoid:
Reduces losses due to Salmonella gallinarum infections in poultry.
administration and dosage
Coccidiosis, Coryza, Fowl Cholera and Typhoid:
Use 4 tablespoonfuls (40 ml) in 5 Litres of drinking water for 3-5 days. 100 ml serves 160 birds per day.
Acute Cholera & Pullorum:
Use 4 tablespoonfuls (40 ml) in 5 Litres of drinking water for 3-5 days. 100 ml serves 160 birds per day.
Shake well before use.
Precautions
Eggs should not be taken for human consumption for at least 96 hours after the last treatment.
Birds should not be slaughtered for human consumption for at least 96 hours after the last treatment.
Uses and advantages
1. Has a wide range of activity. It is effective against many strains of disease organisms.
2. Gives higher blood levels which lasts longer than other sulfa drugs.
3. Maintains adequate blood levels for 24 hours following a single dose.
4. Low toxicity-one of the least toxic sulphonamides.
Storage
Store in a dry place below 30℃.
