Indications
BEST PANAKUR is a broad spectrum anthelmintic for the treatment and control of mature and immature stages of nematodes and cestodes of the gastrointestinal and respiratory tracts. It is also effective as an aid in the control of the protozoon, Giardia. For the treatment of gastrointestinal nematodes and cestodes of cattle, sheep, horses, poultry, dogs and cats affected with Ascarid spp., Ancylostoma spp., Uncinaria spp., Trichuris spp., and Taenia spp. Also for the treatment of lungworm nematodes of domestic dogs affected with Oslerus(Filaroides) osleri, and domestic cats affected with Aelurostrongylus abstrusus.
Contraindications
The drug is not used in animals with high individual sensitivity. It is also prohibited to use in puppies less than 3 weeks old, animals sick with infectious diseases, and weak and distressed animals.
Administration and Dosage
For oral administration. For goats, swine and sheep: 5.0 mg fenbendazole per kg bodyweight. For calves, cattle and horses: 7.5 mg fenbendazole per kg bodyweight. For adult dogs and cats: 100 mg fenbendazole per kg bodyweight. For weaned puppies and kittens: 50 mg/ kg daily for 3 consecutive days. For poultry: 20~50mg/kg for 3 to 5 days.
Withdrawal Period
For meat: 14 days.
For milk: 4 days.
For egg: 7 days.
