Marbofloxacin + Meloxicam Injection 10% + 2%
Indications
Cattle: For use in acute respiratory infection therapy to reduce clinical signs in cattle. For adjunctive therapy in the treatment of acute mastitis,. For the relief of post-operative pain following dehorning in calves.
Pigs: For use in non-infectious locomotor disorders to reduce the symptoms of lameness and inflammation. For adjunctive therapy in the treatment of puerperal septicaemia and toxaemia
(mastitis-metritis-agalactia syndrome).
Administration and Dosage
Cattle:
Single SC or IV injection at a dosage of 1 ml per 50 kg body weight.
Pigs:
Single IM injection at a dosage of 1ml per 50 kg body weight.
Contraindications
Do not use in animals suffering from impaired hepatic, cardiac or renal functions and haemorrhagic disorders, or where there is evidence of ulcerogenic gastrointestinal lesions.
Do not use in cases of hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients.
For the treatment of diarrhoea in cattle, do not use in animals of less than one week of age.
Side Effects
Do not administer concurrently with glucocorticoids, other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs or with anticoagulant agents. Do not mix with other veterinary medicinal products.
Avoid use in very severely dehydrated, hypovolaemic or hypotensive animals which require parenteral rehydration, as there may be a potential risk of renal toxicity.
In cattle and pigs, only a slight transient swelling at the injection site following subcutaneous administration may be observed.
To obtain adequate pain relief during dehorning procedures in calves, co-medication with an appropriate analgesic is needed.
Withdrawal Period
Cattle:
- Meat and offal: 15 days.
- Milk: 5 hours.
Pigs:
- Meat and offal: 5 days.
