Oxytetracycline Bolus 250mg
Indications
Treatment of calves (up to 3months of age), pigs, dogs, cats and poultry (broiler chickens, chickens, turkeys, ducks) in diseases of respiratory system, digestive tract and
genitourinary system caused by microorganisms sensitive to oxytetracycline.
administration and dosage
Oral administration.
The drug is used in calves, dogs, cats and pigs individually or in a group method with food at a dose of 1 bolus per 10 kg of body weight twice a day for 3-7 days; chickens, turkeys and ducks individually or in a group method with feed for the active substance in a dose of 20-50 mg/kg; twice a day for 3-7 days. When using the drug as a group method, bolus should be carefully crushed and mixed with food.
contraindications
Do not use in animals with hypersensitivity to tetracycline drugs. Do not use in animals with impact liver and kidney function. Do not use in ruminants with functionally developed pre-stomachs. Do not use simultaneously with cephalosporins, penicillins, tolysin, erythromycin and sulfonamides.
side effects
General toxicity is low although collapse has been reported with tetracycline in weak and debilitated animals.
withdrawal period
Meat: 28 days.
Milk: 7 days.
Storage
Store below 30°C in a dry place. Protect from light.
