Used to treat skin infections in dogs caused by susceptible strains of Staphylococcus and Streptococcus (such as secondary superficial pyoderma). Urinary tract infections (diseases, abscesses, and wounds) caused by Escherichia coli and/or Proteus mirabilis;
treatment for cats caused by Pasteurella multocida and Skin infections (such as wounds and abscesses) caused by susceptible strains of Staphylococcus, and urinary tract infections caused by Escherichia coli.
Take one vial of this product and dissolve it in 10 mL of water for injection. Subcutaneous Injection: For dogs and cats, administer 8 mg per kg of body weight (calculated as cefovecin, equivalent to an injection volume of 0.1 mL per kg of body weight). The therapeutic effect may persist for up to 14 days. If the therapeutic response in dogs is incomplete, a second subcutaneous injection may be administered; however, the total number of injections should not exceed two.
Individual dogs or cats may experience allergic reactions, lethargy, loss of appetite, vomiting, and diarrhea following administration.
